Why Wait? We Offer Same-Day Crowns

If you have dental imperfections like small or unevenly sized teeth, or have a dental injury or severe decay, a dental crown could be the best option to restore your smile and dental health. We use them to cover damaged, weak, or unattractive teeth, custom shaping and tinting the crown to match your natural teeth.

At Just For Your Smile, with locations in Vienna, VA, and Potomac Village, MD, our experienced team of dental professionals offers same-day dental crowns using state-of-the-art CEREC® technology. We save you time and money by installing dental crowns in one convenient appointment.

About CEREC same-day crowns

CEREC stands for chairside economical restoration of esthetic ceramics. This innovative platform incorporates advanced computer-aided design (CAD) technology to create customized, high-quality dental crowns — as well as veneers, inlays, and onlays — in a single visit.

Traditionally, dental technicians make dental crowns in labs, using pictures and molds provided by your dentist. It can take several weeks for your permanent crown to be made.

With CEREC, we can prepare your tooth, make your crown, and attach it to your tooth all on the same day.

Same-day crown benefits

Our team prides itself on creating a comfortable, welcoming environment, but we know that you don’t want to make multiple visits to our office if you don’t have to. We offer same-day crowns to save you time. A single visit can also save you money.

Some of the other benefits of same-day crowns include:

No messy molds

With a traditional crown, your dentist has to pack a gooey material into your mouth to create an impression of your tooth and its neighbors. This process is messy and a little time-consuming.

However, with CEREC technology, we use an advanced intraoral camera to create 3D images and measurements of your tooth. We use those details with CAD technology to design your crown and then make it with our in-office CEREC equipment.

Natural-looking results with no wait

Your same-day crown is made from high-quality porcelain, which we tint to match your neighboring teeth. The porcelain is highly durable and can last 25 years or longer with proper care.

No need for a temporary fix

When you have a dental crown, we have to remove a layer of tissue from your tooth to create space for it to fit in with the neighboring teeth.

If you were to opt for a traditional crown and have to wait for your dental appliance to be manufactured, your dentist would fit you with a temporary crown to protect your tooth in the meantime. Depending on the lab, it could take several weeks for your permanent crown to be ready.

With CEREC same-day crowns, you have a custom fit — and look — from day one. Your appointment may take a little longer than your average dental checkup, but you don’t need to make multiple visits or put up with a temporary crown. We install your crown and carefully check the fit and bite before permanently bonding it to your tooth and sending you home.
